Henri de toulouse-lautrec
1864-1901
French painter and printmaker. He is best known for his portrayals of late 19th-century Parisian life, particularly working-class, cabaret, circus, nightclub and brothel scenes. He was admired then as he is today for his unsentimental evocations of personalities and social mores. While he belonged to no theoretical school, he is sometimes classified as Post-Impressionist. His greatest contemporary impact was his series of 30 posters (1891-1901), Related Paintings of Henri de toulouse-lautrec :. | Interior in the Rue des Moulins (mk09) | Absinthe Drinder | The Jockey | Woman Combing her Hair | Portrait of Gabrielle | Related Artists: Charles TurnerEnglish Painter, ca.1773-1857 SCOREL, Jan vanDutch Northern Renaissance Painter, 1495-1562
North Netherlandish painter and ecclesiastic. He was one of the first north Netherlandish artists to visit Italy, and his return to Utrecht in 1524 can be regarded as a turning-point in the history of painting in the northern Netherlands. The important role Scorel played in introducing Italian art in the north was recognized even by contemporary writers and was reiterated slightly later by van Mander Jose Tapiro y Bara1830 - 1913
